Gen Loves LA: Santa Monica

When it comes to the coast, there’s no where better than California (sorry we’re biased.) From NorCal to SoCal and in between, the stretch of sandy beaches, rocky mountains and sweeping trees along the PCH is a destination in itself. One of our favorite coastal stops – especially if you’re around Los Angeles – is definitely Santa Monica. Sandwiched in between Malibu and Venice, this little city is famous for it’s pier, complete with a sky-high Ferris wheel, and a more relaxed pace. Which is always a nice break from the hustle and bustle of the city. Whether you’re looking to spend a day shopping on the Third Street Promenade or eating at the restaurants along Ocean Park, visiting the aquarium or just soaking up the rays on the beach, everyone visiting CA this summer should make a pit stop here. Along with their everyday activities, there are also some great seasonal events like the summer concert series on the Pier that begins in July. So if you’re in town, check out all the best spots in between Montana and Pico. Then turn up Santa Monica Blvd. and get the party started.
